Assignment Title: Consultancy Services for construction Supervision.
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ethiopia Transport Sector Project in Support of RSDP4 Projects and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services ("the Services") include supervision of the construction works, contract management, implementation of associated environmental, safety, and resettlement plans and adverse social impact mitigation for the road upgrading projects listed below: -

The Consulting services will be conducted over a period of 36 months and the assignment is expected to commence by December 2012.
The Ethiopian Roads Authority, representing the FDRE, now invites eligible consulting firms ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: Experience of the consulting firm in construction supervision of road contracts with similar nature and complexity to the subject projects, experience of the consulting firm in detailed engineering design of road projects, appropriate qualifications and experience of key staff in the field and region ofthe assignment, .
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loansand IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers January, 2011 ("Consultant Guidelines"), setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and CostBased selection method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
