1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from the International Development Association and other Donors toward the cost of Nutrition Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Nutrition Laboratory Instruments.
2. The Pharmaceuticals Fund & Supply Agency (PFSA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for:

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Pharmaceuticals Fund & Supply Agency, Tel:251 11 2751770, 251 11 2763266 Fax: 251 11 2752555, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:30AM -12:30PM and 1:30 PM -5:30PM Local Time, Monday to Friday, except on public holidays.
5. Qualifications requirements include:
(a) Financial Capability
The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence in the form of audited financial statements that it meets the following financial requirement(s): An average Annual Turnover of at least two (2) times its price offer for each lot bid for the last three (3) years.
(b) Experience and Technical Capacity
The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that it meets the following experience requirement(s): The Bidder has substantially completed three (3) contracts for the supply of goods of similar complexity and value within the last Five (5) years.
6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Those who want the bid document to be sent by a Courier Service shall pay an additional amount of ETB 1500.00 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency for a courier service charge or send a pre paid Courier Service Coupon. The method of payment will be in cash, or Cashier's Payment Order (C.P.O.), or direct deposit to PFSA A/C No 01246 730145 with the Construction & Business Bank, Piassa Branch.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before July 24, 2012 at 2:00 P.M Local Time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at the Conference Hall of Pharmaceuticals Fund & Supply Agency (PFSA), Sub City: Addis Ketema, Kebele: 19/20, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on July 24, 2012 at 2:30 P.M Local Time. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount as per the table in paragraph (2) above or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
