Gaza Electricity Network Rehabilitation Project (GENRP)

Contract Title: Supply of MV Underground Cables and Ring Main Units (two lots)

Reference No. GENRP PEA- WB/G-2

 

1.         The Palestine Liberation Organization for the benefit of the Palestinian Authority has received a financing from the World Bank, toward the cost of Gaza Electricity Network Rehabilitation Project (GENRP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract Supply of MV Underground Cables and Ring Main Units (GENRP PEA- WB/G-2)

 

2.         The Palestinian Energy Authority now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply of MV Underground Cables and Ring Main Units as follows:

 

LOT No.1: Supply of MV underground cables and accessories, including the following:

·         55 Km of 22 KV Underground Medium Voltage Cable and accessories

 

LOT No.2: Supply of Switchgears and Load Break Switches, including the following:

·         9 sets of Switchgears.

·         6 set of Load Break Switches

 

3.         Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants" by World Bank Borrowers published in January 2011, ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

 

4.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Palestinian Energy Authority (PEA), Procurement Officer, Email: procurement@menr.org and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m, Ramallah Time.

 

5.         Acomplete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 100. The method of payment will be by deposit in the following bank account:

      The Bidding Documents will be sent by international / national carrier.

 

6.         Bids must be delivered to the address belowat or before 11:00 am (local time), 1st October, 2013. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representativesand anyone who choose to attend at the address below at 11:00 am (local time), 1st October, 2013.

 

7.         All bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security" as follows:

For LOT1: 30,000 USD

For LOT2: 5,000 USD

The bid security shall be valid until 28/1/2014.
