Expressions of Interest (EOI)

The People's Republic of China has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Changzhi Sustainable Urban Transport Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.

The consultant will provide the client Changzhi Urban Transport Project Management Center (hereinafter referred to as PMC) and its subsidiary project implementation units with the following project management services: 1) General supervision of the project; 2) Design consulting and construction drawing review; 3) Preparation of technical part of the bidding documents, and overall evaluation of bidding documents; 4）Project Management for the client; 5) Financial and disbursement management; 6) Institutional capacity improvement; 7) Provision of training; 8) English Translation support; 9) Assisting the client in communication and coordination with the designer, construction contractors andother consultants engaged by the client; 10) Transport security auditing; 11) Any other services that may have been stated in the Terms of Reference.

The PMC now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services, Interested consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified and competent to perform the services (brochures, experience in similar conditions, description and other relevant details of previously completed similar assignments with clients' contact information, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.,). Consulting firms may associate with other institutions to enhance their qualifications.

A consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011 edition).
